
Born and raised in Murray as a first-generation American, Rachel has a deep connection to Salt Lake City. Rachel earned a degree in plant biology from the University of Utah, inspired by a love for Utah’s native plants and ecological diversity. She also has worked for utah Conservation Corps and Americorps as a field ecologist Tooele and Iron County deserts. As a practicing Buddhist, Rachel views the lake as a sacred embodiment of the interconnectedness of all life.
