Goals of the Event
Bring people to the shores of the Great Salt Lake – What better way to raise awareness than to show people the actual, physical state of the Great Salt Lake?
Foster unity among different groups of Utahns – Bringing people together in the same space will raise morale in the state and enrich relationships.
Raise money for the Great Salt Lake – Money raised will go directly to aiding Great Salt Lake’s rescue.
Fun! – We want families from all over Utah to gather at the lake, watch the race, and have fun. We are also bringing in a variety of vendors to add to the festivities, including food trucks, a band, giveaways–there will even be a cardboard boat race for any attendees!
Register today to be entered into our prize drawing
Opportunity Drawing includes: ski passes, spa treatments, sailing lessons, a fly-fishing trip, and more!!

Want to join the carboard boat race?
Amateur boat builders are challenged to design, build, and navigate a corrugated cardboard boat through a short marina racecourse. There will also be a “prettiest/ugliest” cardboard boat competition. Watch a video of one of the previous races, and read the race guidelines here!
Minors will need a parent or guardian to sign a liability waiver if they participate.
