Lobbying makes legislative advocacy for Great Salt Lake more approachable and effective. Our state’s lawmakers are more receptive to well-organized advocacy that builds personal relationships, highlights local impacts, and presents clear and actionable solutions.
What to expect when you lobby with us:
- A brief lobbying training inside the Utah Capitol Building
- An overview of the highest priority bills that day and a handout with speaking points
- Time to break into groups and prepare
- Opportunities to speak to your legislators one-on-one or in small groups

Grow the Flow X Citizen’s Climate Lobby Presentation on Lobbying
I was apprehensive about moving to Utah this year. The whole country is aware that the Great Salt Lake is drying, but opportunity called my family here, so we took the risk. I wanted to ask our Congress to do everything they can to protect the lake, and by extension the people and properties of this region, so I attended one of the GSL lobby days. Grow the Flow showed me how to meet members of Congress through lobbying, and my representative cared enough to set up ongoing meetings with me and other constituents. What an empowering surprise! I never would have had the courage to try this without Grow the Flow’s support and guidance.
